Monday
Day 1: Today was my birthday and the first time I had done Splash! We first went to University Collage of London, Institute of Archaeology and listened to a lecture about Maritine Archaeology and PIRATES with Joe. Joe is a lecturer on Maritime Archaeology at UCL. After the lecture our group went to the British Museum where we looked at the Sutton Hoo ship burial. We then went to LAARC the Museum of London's archive. In LAARC we learnt about the Thames survey and handled objects from the River Thames that were from the foreshore (area of land that is visible when river tide goes out).

Tuesday
Day 2: Our group met at UCL and got on the coach to dive for the first time. When our group got to the London School of Diving we had a quick lecture about saftey rules in the pool, then the group was split up into buddy pairs. When it was our turn in the pool it was great! Our safety skills in the pool were clearing our mask and finding our regulator (breathing apparatus).

Wednesday
Day 3: Today we went to Portsmouth to a Napoleonic Fort!! We met people from the Nautical Archaeological society who showed us a video about shipwrecks. We had to guess what some objects were and what they were used for on the ships - hard but fun! Then we learnt how to measure or survey - off-setting and trilateration - I found it interesting and kinda hard too. We were going to do this in the water on Thursday! We also looked at cannons and a mock-up of a sea bed.

Thursday
Day 4: We put everything that we had learnt together today. We did the measuring underwater this time - harder than on land because the tape kept on moving about! I thought this was fun and it was good. Afterwards to sketched underwater this was hard but good fun.

Friday
Day 5: I dictated this to my secretary and made a video pod cast!!
